Newborn studio shots photographed in my client's living room. This baby was only a few days old so keeping him indoors was his mother's first priority. So cute!

Grandmother's formal dining room made such a great place for photos. The antique setting was a beautiful surrounding next to this cutie pie's dress but it's only the Monkeys & Peas way to provide a completely different look at the session: modern with colors!

I shoot everything in color and then convert to black & white as part of the package. These boys are so cute!
Summer of Color
From Palos Verdes to Malibu, you may have noticed that our lifeguard stations have been painted with beautiful colors. Beach Babies
Yes, it's officially June Gloom but these were shot in May (there is always a slight lag on the blog). Photographed on a private beach, these Pacific Palisades kids love the sand! It was too windy the first session so I split the session in half to accommodate the weather.
Rocking the Eye Contact
I love candids but I think with portraits, it's also important to make sure that the eye contact is present in the photos (one of the reasons why you should hire a professional!).
Baby's Best Friend
He loves his doggy as well as daddy, a Marine fighter pilot (flys the "Harrier" - so cool!). Monkeys & Peas thanks and supports our troops and their families.
Never too late
Shooting galore - May was a busy month so posting has been a low priority! This boy was around 3 months and although you hear the "within 10 days" newborn shoot rule, you can still take photos later and have a similar style. In fact, you get great awake shots because most babies are filled out and aware.
